Yes, that IS the actual title of the movie, and it is phenomenal!

It's a beautifully done movie about the friendship between George Whitefield and Benjamin Franklin and how the First Great Awakening began in the American Colonies. The production values are top notch as are all of the actors - this is not a Hallmark movie or a mid budget Christian flick. This is a quality historical film that addresses the role of God in our lives and national character.

I brought a based conservative friend with me to a matinee showing of this yesterday on a whim, with no clue what to expect. We both loved it. The theater was half full and you could feel how powerfully everyone was affected by the film (bring tissues, trust me on this). And best of all, it ends on an inspirational for Christians and American patriots.

It looks like A Great Awakening will only be in theaters this week. I hope they choose to expand that, but either way, I cannot recommend this film enough. Make time to see it and bring your friends along.
