You think the people that were raised to be good then sold their souls to the devil to be politicians, movie stars, rockstars all didn't have an understanding that what they signed up for was evil?
The first time they did something that crossed a line they didn't think well I'm still a good guy. They knew.
Now a lot of the rank and file, sure that line is valid. However, there has to be some evil bastards that know they are evil and even get off on it.
Another example would be the cartels, these people get pulled into it and they have no choice. Sure some will die having convinced themselves they were doing the right thing, but at some level I bet most of them know it's evil to set someone on fire because they were trying to stop you from poisoning people.
The devil would want us to think that way so we take pitty on them. The devil would want us to take pitty on them so we didn't demand a stop to it.
Willing to bet that is just another lie that the devil as spread so much we just accept it as truth.
