We shouldnt be surprised tjere are jews there. Israel went into assyrian captivity amd over a hundred years later judah was taken by babylon. Babylon conquered assyria and all the tribes were in captivity. Less than 50k judaens left babylon and nonisraelites ever were freed. Cyrus and then darius both encoraged theyre building of the temple in jerusalem and even provided materials and money. So ot is litte surprise n thst Iran is full of them.
