Blood lines matter. Why? We all Trace back to Adam.WE ALL HAVE BAD BLOOD.(Romans 5:12) "Wherefore as by one man (ADAM) sin entered into the world and death by sin; and so death passed upon (ALL) men, for (ALL) have sinned. (Romans 3:10) "There is not one righteous no not one" (Isaiah 64:6) "We are ALL like an unclean thing and ALL our righteousness are like filthy rags" (Psalms 14:3) "they are ALL gone astray they are ALL together filthy: there is NONE that doeth good, no, not one" (Romans 3:27) "Where is the boasting then (of bloodlines) it is excluded. By what law? Of works? Nay, by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith. (Not by his bloodline) ( Acts10:34) "Of a truth I perceive that God is NO RESPECTER OF PERSONS but in EVERY NATION the man who fears God and does what is right is welcomed by him" (Romans 2:11) "For there is NO RESPECT OF PERSONS with God" (John 1:12) "AS MANY as received Christ to them GOD gave the right to become sons of God even to them that believe on His name" (ROMANS 10:11) "WHOSOEVER believeth on Christ shall not be ashamed for there is NO DIFFERENCE between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is Rich onto ALL that call upon him" NOW AS TO ESAU - To rightly divide the word as we are told,we must have two or three witnesses to establish a principle, to understand Esau it's easier to, use Cain and Able as an example (the Bible principle). Both brought sacrifices to God. God accepted Abel's sacrifice but not Cain's at first glance it seems like God favored Abel over Cain, just like many think God favored Jacob over Esau, (this is not the case) that would mean God is respect your person's, and we just finished reading that God is no respect for a person and he has no favorites (Acts 10:34 - Romans 2:11) so this being true we see that we need to rightly divide what happened here, it can't be that God favored anyone since God is no respecter of persons and he has no favorites. Abel's offering was accepted by God, Kane's offering was rejected by God. Kane came with the fruits of the ground (a picture of the works of his hands) (trusting in Good works to save him) Abel came with a blood offering, (a picture of Salvation through Christ) and not of works. This is the same principle as Jacob and Esau. Jacob a picture of Salvation through faith in God apart from works, Esau a picture of coming to God through the law (good works) and the rejection of Grace. Now as to "MANY ARE CALLED BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN" the answer is found in (John 3:16) "For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that WHOEVER believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life." Who does that verse say God gave his son for? THE WORLD! (Many are called) Who does this verse say is chosen? WHOEVER BELIEVES ON CHRIST (sadly that is FEW CHOSEN, compared to the whole world that is called) with that in mind now we can rightly divide (Ephesians 1:4) that is used to try to teach predestination. (Ephesians 1:4) says"As He has chosen us (IN HIM) before the foundation of the world that we should be holy and without blame before him in love" DO YOU SEE IT. God chose before the foundation of the world that whoever was in Christ WOULD BE holy and Without blame, but GOD did not choose (who would) (be in Christ) that is the decision each one has to make for themselves, God declared before the foundation of the world, that those who would accept Christ (be in Him) would be made holy and Without blame. This is confirmed by (John 1:12) "But AS MANY as RECEIVED CHRIST to TO THEM he gave the right to become sons of God even to them that believe on his name" and (Galatians 3:26) "For you are all children of God BY FAITH IN CHRIST" you mentioned: Jesus saying to the disciples, "You didn't choose me I chose you" Notice: Jesus did not choose them for salvation but for disciples, that is clear since Christ chose Judas. And yes to Abraham and his seed (singular) were the PROMISES (plural) made. "ALL the PROMISES are yes and amen in Christ" THE WORK OF SALVATION REST UPON THE WILL OF GOD AND NOT UPON THE WILL OF MAN - EXACTLY - God States the terms of salvation (not man) man makes a decision whether to obey or not God's terms. Abel obeyed and brought the sacrifice required for salvation - Cain did not - but even then God said to Cain, "IF YOU DO WHAT'S RIGHT WILL YOU NOT BE ACCEPTED" Cain refused, like many today who refuse to come by Christ and think they can be justified by their good works, and when they aren't they will say well I guess I wasn't chosen to be saved. In other words my sin is God's fault. Some may buy that argument, but it will not be bought at the great white throne judgment. 🙏
