I've always been somewhat leery of this Maritime Law / Fealty to Britain discussion. I admit I haven't dug into it deeply because there are already too many futile rabbit holes to go down.

So does anyone here have 100-words or less proof that it was ever an actual situation and NOT just another conspiracy theory?
