"Normally, humans can only get it from rat droppings. But, this particular strain (Andes virus) can be transmitted from human to human."
It doesn't say HOW the virus is transmitted from human-to-human which should have been brought out in the article.
The next paragraph tells EXACTLY HOW IT IS TRANSMITTED:
"Hantavirus primarily spreads to humans through contact with infected rodent urine, droppings, or saliva, most commonly via inhalation of aerosolized particles."
If an passenger got sick this is the way it would have been done and then the cruise company is facing a shit-load of lawsuits for NOT having a "CLEAN SHIP"!!!!
