How does one get out of preview mode in the comment section so the B, I, " and link are active? Or are those features something you get when you officially become a frog?

First, welcome.
I've been active here for a little more than one year now. I was a lurker for a long time before that.
I don't know much about the mechanics of how this site works but I would advise you to just participate. It's my experience that if you comment and pay attention and practice simple common courtesy, you will eventually get your voice heard.
Frog status is probably above me. That doesn't matter to me. I'm not here for a badge. GAW is a community of brilliant researchers, intelligent patriots, and people like me that just love their freedom and care about the United States of America.

Agree, I just noticed they were tools available for writing comments or responses and wondered how they become active. I am also like you. Love this forum and participating in it. My colleague turned me on to it during the 2024 election and I've been on here every day since. Group of some great people who posses incredible insight.
