It's not that the progs have empathy for the criminals, it's that they are using the criminals to destroy the fabric of our society, the fact that we are a Republic governed by the rule of law.

It's not about empathy at all, for the progs have none. They only care for their own hedonistic pleasures.

But people contentedly living under the rule of law must be harmed, their security destroyed, and not forcing the criminals to abide by the rule of law is how they destroy our society.
