Thanks for letting me know that though. I wasn't up on how those terms are differentiated in the bible but thought I was.
Most people don’t know, we’ve been spiritually dumbed down as a society. I only know because I’m serious about what lies ahead.
But I mean in these related religions both the soul and spirit are supposed go to heaven. In my thinking the spirit is intrinsic to life. It's stronger in some than others.
Islam agrees with the other two. Funny shit!
The two terms are defined as follows:
The Spirit (الروح - Ruh): This is the divine, immaterial breath of life that God breathed into Adam, giving humanity a unique consciousness and a direct connection to the Divine. It is the universal spark of life that animates the physical body. According to the Quran (Surah Al-Isra, 17:85), knowledge of its exact nature belongs exclusively to God.
The Soul (النفس - Nafs): This is the human self, psyche, or ego. It is the center of a person's desires, will, and moral choices. Unlike the Ruh, the Nafs is capable of doing both good and evil, is subject to temptation, and will be held accountable and judged in the afterlife
In my faith, not everyone gets to be with God in the afterlife aka “go to heaven”. Each individual spirit must make a decision- either go with God or don’t, the choice is yours to make and the decision will be eternal. The decision to be separated from God is one that lands the person in the abode of woe.
If you grow up without it being taught to you it's easy to see how weird it is.
