I like a lot of what Trump is doing (though I don't particularly care for any efforts that continue to send money overseas). I like a lot of what Massie says and that he seems very "America First"-oriented. Even JD Vance in much of his public rhetoric/talking points seems to sympathize with American fatigue with foreign aid.
So... what the heck is the deal with Trump vs. Massie? I've even heard that Pete Heg. is opting to help campaign against Massie (which is illegal, I think)?
Is Massie secretly Hitler or something? Please help me understand this.
I mean, this would be an interesting "5D chess move" if this was Trump's intention, but it just seems weird for Trump to NOT be on Massie's side on the very things they "fight" about.
Agreed.
This shows how much the dumocrats appreciate massie:
Stephen Miller @StephenM Khanna is among the most radically liberal anti-MAGA extremists to be found in all of Congress. This is the equivalent of being endorsed by Rachel Maddow. Quote Ro Khanna @RoKhanna · May 14 Thomas Massie is a man of character. He is the type of Congressman our founders envisioned. I hope his constituents will see the courage, independence and sincere love of country he brings to the job. https://nytimes.com/2026/05/14/opinion/thomas-massie-trump-republicans.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share via @NYTOpinion
That sounds like an association fallacy on Stephen's part
JD Vance explains why Thomas Massie is no good for the GOP.
"Voting against the party on every single issue. You're eventually going to make too many enemies. It's not one issue or 3 issues it's every single issue. Every time we've needed Thomas for a vote he has been unwilling to provide it"
"When you always vote against the party, you can't expect the party to back you" https://x.com/JayTC53/status/2056100107087487311
Politicians are meant to serve the people not the party.
