The implication (as well as the made-up word) is quite pretentious!
They can judge a baptized Christian or self-identified Christian as merely a "pretend" Christian.
So what about "trans-pretensism"?
For that matter, why not Judaic-pretensism? As in those who pretend to be part of the Chosen People and their history: "Judaic Studies to understanding the historical experience of the Jewish people, from Abraham to Modern Judaism."
everyone does judge whether something seems like the real article, though. A trans person wouldn't like it if I told them I was trans, I bet. And if I dressed up as a muslim they'd probably have something to say about that. The real deal is what peoole prefer, I think. This doesn't insult me as a christian.
INDEED!!
