last year, severe outbreak of ticks in our area of TX, and for the first time ever, i had three tick bites on my face...ticks were tiny, looked like dirt speck but on removal, they were definitely ticks...the areas of the bites got red, rash, even bubbles of fluid around them...my dr said no worries, but i said this is NOT normal, so was prescribed doxycycline for two weeks...that was brutal medicine! eventually, the affected areas cleared up, but still remain reddish color to this day...took ivermectin as well, and still do on schedule jic...
I'd start ivermectin or Menbendazole immediately if I was bitten by a tick.
