According to another article she lived with the assailant and he was the father to at least one of her children. It's a tragedy either way, but why was that information omitted? Omitting crucial information is deceptive, regardless of which side does it.

You are correct about this. In no way does this become any less tragic, but it isn’t like the random acts on the subway. These people did obviously invite this into their lives.
Totally agree. Definitely a tragedy, but when I first read it it sounded like he jumped out of the bushes and killed three strangers. The domestic violence element was excluded. GP needs to do better.
