More than 1,200 faculty members from the University of California have signed an open letter, urging university leadership to reinstate SAT and ACT math testing requirements for applicants to math and science majors, beginning with the 2027 admissions cycle.
I read that they are discussing an education strategy where the bottom students are removed from the education system. Starting with 1% and then moving it up to 5% in High School, each year. It will purge the system of the people who drag down and ruin the opportunity for the majority. The bottom class, are then moved towards a trade school, where they can support themselves and they are not a permanent burden to the Nation going forward. It will also push students to pull up their socks because they will see education as a privilege and gifted opportunity to soar.
All those grifters should be made to undergo an operation from a doctor that was pushed through the system with sub-par grades and test scores. I want to see the look on their faces when told that it's a life or death situation and this is the doctor chosen by the DEA committee to do the operation. But, but, but is he the best? Answer: he's the most deserving because of his minority status. But, but, but his he experienced? Answer: His life experience is what counts.
This has been going on for years, but has only gotten worse under DEI.
I taught a core bioscience course at a local community college. Some of my students didn't even have the most basic skill levels - and this was about 20 years ago. How in the hell did they ever manage to enroll in a 100 level college science class? There is no way they could have passed the entrance exams in English and Math. Things have been broken for years all in the name of equity and keeping the money coming in. I have no doubt they squeaked into the program because of points given to them for being in a recognized "minority" group. This has been the policy at just about all institutions for years. They simply lower the bar. Those points allow them to squeak entry into college level coursework that they simply cannot do. I actually had to consult with students to have them seriously consider doing some remedial work in English and Math prior to taking on college level coursework. They simply could not do the work required. I would much rather set them up for success than failure.
Wow. I'm shocked!
What got into them to come to their senses....
DEI = STEM students who can't do basic math.

This was the German model for education. They had brilliant scientists, they also had amazingly trained artisans in all fields, not only mechanics.
There is a trade school for violin makers in Mittenwald for e.g. "Welcome to the state vocational school for instrument making in Mittenwald".
