I live in a Nation with Universal Healthcare. The more 3rd world people we import, the quicker the service drops in quality. But I NEVER have to worry about not having enough money to get care.
In the late 90's my Grandmother went into a Hospital in Florida with a bad flu bug. They drugged her up and she was their prisoner for 10 days. My Doctor sister flew down in panic, the bill was at $225k and counting. My sister said get her off everything asap. My Grandmother woke up and she was checked out of the hospital. My sister threatened them and they knocked the bill down to $75k. Your hospitals are Grand Larceny. Your Medicaid is a higher percentage of your NATIONAL GDP, than Nations with Free healthcare. Americans have been Bamboozled. You're being robbed and your generational wealth stolen. They are not even hiring Americans in the Health Industry as much as foreigners. My Grandparents had to move back to England soon after because they couldn't trust American hospitals anymore. They gave so much to the City they lived in, in Florida. I won't go into details to avoid doxxing but My grandfather was loved and respected.
Some of the things you say about American healthcare are true. Our system has plenty of problems. But your complete (willing? gleeful?) blindness about socialized healthcare is mind boggling.
First of all, NOTHING IS FREE. No matter how many times you robotically repeat the phrase 'Free Healthcare', it doesn't magically become true. Somebody is paying for all of it, and that someone is still you.
At the end of the day, the starkest difference between our system and socialized medicine is that we pay for our medical care mostly AFTER we've received it, and you pay for yours BEFORE you receive it, in the form of confiscatory 70 or 80 or 90% tax rates, depending on which EU socialist/communist hellhole you happen to live in. And because you've already given them all your money in advance, they don't actually have to give you the healthcare if they don't want to (if you're too old, your treatments are too expensive, your social credit score isn't high enough, you're not an immigrant, etc).
And one last point: The only reason EU countries have had the money to pump into socialized medicine and all their other communist programs is because they're all a bunch of fucking leeches allowing the US to defend them through NATO while they take the money they should be spending to build their own military defenses and pay their NATO dues and instead use it to fund their bullshit social programs. Let's all watch over the next few years and see what happens to your precious healthcare systems, your 30 hour work weeks, and your 50 weeks of paid vacation every year now that Trump is putting an end to the pharmaceutical companies price gouging Americans to subsidize drugs for every other country on earth and pulling troops out of EU countries so that they actually have to protect themselves for the first time in 80 years, shall we?
