From where this Helo went down it was out of the range of the IRGC and close to Oman. Now, who else would shoot it down to try and stir up shit because they want to have the US continue to destroy Iran while they lets say go in to Lebanon? I wonder who? We all know.

This means that the main rotor was still providing lift - the heli made a soft landing, so to speak. If the heli had been shot down properly, the pilots would be dead.

What kind of response would that then warrant? Maybe damage some military hardware in retaliation? But that's been happening already, and every time, the Iranians bomb something in return. So what's different this time?

IMO, this episode is just fear-mongering = it's a distraction. Or, it's Trump playing games with the Israelis. Because if he retaliates too hard, then Israel will pay the price.
