I just had the same discussion with a business owner in the Wisconsin Dells. Nearly all retailers and restaurants are full of h1b workers. Most know very little English and makes it difficult to purchase items…so we stopped purchasing from those retailers. The business owner said 10 years ago or so all these jobs were filled with University of Wisconsin students or High Schoolers. Not anymore.

Saudi built a similar pipeline called Petroline. Originally it was coordinated with Iraq but I think the Iraq partners are negligible now. Another thing to remember is this pipeline was built largely by Aramsco (mostly Saudi owned) but the refineries are largely Chinese owned or financed by cooperation with the Saudis. Basically China has been strategically planning for alternative oil routes for years. I don’t think there’s any mystery as to why 🤷♂️
The more important question is “how long does it take to remove the pipeline?” Btw… this pipeline was started several years ago to support the BRI (Belt and Road Initiative) trade corridor between Russia to China. The new pipeline runs parallel to the existing pipeline to double the capacity of oil flow. the contractor is Chinese National Petroleum Corporation. We are our own worst enemies and believe media reports that there is a moment of glory coming “soon”..it’s not coming. This does one thing: further strengthens the BRICS system that ultimately damages our economy.

The only lockdown/crackdown I noticed is live video from actual people in Israel, media controlled reports only from what I have found. Fog of war 🤷♂️
Relaxed standards definitely helped BUT I have 2 neighbors that their 21 & 23 year old sons have joined. Not for “patriotic reasons” but because they can’t find employment that pays enough to live. At least in the military they get 3 hots and a cot and not worry how to afford to eat or pay for an apartment.

Bonnie, your prior comment is 100% spot on. When the U.S. and British Companies left Venezuela the technology was still there but the ability to service that equipment was lost. As years went by the equipment was in disrepair and not efficient. The U.S. Citizens are being “gas”lit to believe that Venezuela is important to oil exports but they are not… in the future they could be but not now. Published materials have Venezuela exporting approximately 900,000 barrels per day. In comparison the U.S. exports 4.5mm per day not counting our daily consumption. Venezuela primarily produces Heavy Crude that is difficult to refine.

Oil seems to be flowing….. from breached hulls into the waters of the Strait of Hormuz. Saw on French/Portugese and Saudi news reports. Who is lying??🤷♂️All I can say is our unleaded jump from $3.44 to $3.91 today.
