Back when Dick Cheney (burn in hell! If you know you know...) said "go f yourself" it was a big deal politically. We've been brainwashed that we must speak diplomatically at all costs.
Then when President Trump in 2018 said about Haiti and other African nations being a SHITHOLE the media panics, having a really hard time trying to translate/localize the word SHITHOLE in other countries.
For example, in Japanese alone, it was ranged from "countries dirty like outdoor toilets" (便所のように汚い国) to "filthy countries." In Taiwan, it was called "countries where birds don't lay eggs" (國家鳥不生蛋). It was WILD!

We really can't thank President Trump enough.
Haha that's funny. I remember a meme where he was talking to Putin and said Bet you 5$ I can have every media outlet saying shithole by Monday.
Verbal Informality definitely makes some statements sound more genuine
