I am just grateful that something is finally being done to those frauding the system put in place to help those who truly need it. It takes a special kind of lowlife that does this kind of thing.
I wonder how much of that stolen taxpayer money can be recovered. Those cars and properties alone must be worth quite a bit. That is the problem with many of these fraud cases. The money may not be recoverable. But at least it sends the message that those that do this kind of crime are on the radar - finally.
Which one? I think there have been a couple that have been nabbed overseas or coming back into the US. But getting the money back. That's a problem. They transferred it overseas. I believe that if there is a way Bessent and Treasury can grab those funds, they will - even if it is overseas. The US still has some clout that other countries don't want to make waves with.

Thanks. If they have a wire fraud case they have tracked the money and probably know where it went. They can run, but they can't hide.
