The King has updated the monarchy's official duties to safeguard faith across a multi-faith nation rather than upholding the historic Defender of the Faith title. This shift abandons the historic Defender of the Faith title for vague language about protecting every belief system equally. Britain continues trading its founding identity for modern political demands.
