But it's worse than that. Rent control effectively takes an existing asset and incrementally, with each control/restriction, lowers its value. By alternately imposing and loosening restrictions, it works against land equity the same way the fed uses inflation to manipulate money, pumping and dumping value to steal land from its owners.

Good, maybe home builders can build in their place. Get a job landlords.
