Virtually any site that requires authentication these days is blocking VPNs, especially anonymizing ones. It's becoming quite annoying.
Their CDNs are blocking tor and IP4 traffic also (starlink)
There are workarounds for some things. Try a different VPN output.
But yes there are nuisances that you have to deal with, and sits you can't visit.
He fails to explain how those end sites could tell he was using a VPN when he apparently rolled his own. They would have to be blocking access to the hosting providers network block, which seems unlikely.
This has been an issue for at least the last 2-3 years.
Additionally they claim to be doing all of this Multi Factor authentication for "security" purposes but when you take personal measures to secure your internet, that's a no-no. This is all about surveillance NOT securing the internet.
The best part about all of their "security" is that they ask for more and more invasive personal information which then again gets compromised in the next round of cyberhack.
