My home town, the Mrs and I take our boat over to bayou grand and sit at the east end of Sherman field. On practice days and itβs just like that. You havenβt lived till you do it!
Stationed on board a carrier (USS America CVA-66) in the 70's I'm grateful to have been able to see a lot of that up close. Watching a Phantom F-4 breaking the sound barrier 500 meters off the port side was exhilarating. Too bad all I had was a Kodak 110 instamatic camera where more than half the pictures either didn't develop or were blurry.
