Right and wrong. The program ended un 1972. They didn't start servicing satalites in space until 1984. Very unlikely they would chase a satellite down that was 12 years old. Technology was far out dated. Plus locating it would be a hassle. If the satelite was able to stay in orbit, it would have been dead for at least 10 years. I say "it" because most of the missions failed. 1 satellite might have remained stable enough to stay in orbit.. That would have bern in 1971 or prior. Common sense tells should tell you its highly unlikely any survived .
