They also like to gaslight first responders testimony of what they heard, when these first responders have heard many explosions in their careers.

Their cognitive dissonance gets in the way: acknowledging the explosives would suggest that the collapses were not solely caused by the impacts of the planes and the resulting fires as they were told to propagandize.

Or maybe they're part of a broader effort to control the narrative, discredit dissenting voices, and maintain a specific version of events that aligns with the MSM/NIST explanation of the 9/11 attacks.
