This cruise ship, the MV Hondius, a Dutch-flagged expedition ship, DEPARTED FROM ARGENTINA on April 1. Currently, the ship is moored off the coast of Cape Verde in the Atlantic Ocean. Today it is scheduled to head to the Canary Islands for investigation because Cape Verde authorities did not permit docking due to health concerns.
3 people have died and others have been hospitalized with symptoms of severe pneumonia and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
This ship has been on a multi-week polar cruise that DEPARTED FROM ARGENTINA on April 1, stopping in Antarctica, South Georgia, and St. Helena before the illnesses occurred. This is where the Andes Mountain Range comes into play. This mountain range takes up a significant portion of Argentina.
AND this is the KICKER. There is an "Andes strain" of hantavirus, and this Andes strain (1 of at least 38 strains) is the ONLY known hantavirus strain capable of person-to-person transmission, AND this strain is primarily found in ARGENTINA and CHILE. It is known for causing Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS) with a high mortality rate of around 30-40%.

Mosquitos that have been designed to carry vaccines in their saliva have been used to inoculate bats against the rabies and Nipah viruses, Nipah is a rare bat-borne virus that supposedly has infected people in several Asian countries. Scientists are investigating whether this technique could stop such viruses from "spilling over" from bats to people, but other researchers are skeptical about whether the strategy could be implemented in the wild, such as ensuring huge vaccination coverage in wild bat colonies.
There is no set date when this will happen.
While designed for a "limited spread," there are CONCERNS about the ECOLOGICAL RISKS OF RELEASING ENGINEERED VIRUSES INTO THE ENVIRONMENT, say the researchers.

China is actually preparing Nipah virus test kits nationwide and Wuhan Institute of Virology announced it had identified a potential drug that could treat Nipah. In December 2019, Wuhan was working on a Nipah virus infectious clone.
Additionally, the WHO has repeatedly listed Nipah Virus among its priority pathogens with pandemic potential.

12/31/24 The Canadian Animal Health Surveillance Network laboratory reports that samples from two carcasses test positive for H5 avian influenza, later confirmed to be H5N1. The CFIA issues a cull order, setting February 1 as the deadline for disposal of all affected birds and related materials.
01/04/25 - 01/09/25 The farm submits documents to the CFIA to apply for an exemption. They say the ostriches have “rare and valuable genetics” worthy of preservation. Ostrich deaths continue.
01/10/25 The CFIA denies the exemption. It says the farm has not submitted sufficient evidence to support its claims of genetic rarity and value.
01/15/25 The farm says the last ostrich death occurs, bringing the toll to 69 birds, with about 400 remaining.

09/22/25 RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) said they were requested to attend the farm by the CFIA “who was granted lawful authority to execute a search warrant.” Farm spokeswoman, Katie Pasitney, says in a video posted on Facebook that a convoy of police vehicles and waste disposal trucks arrived.
Katie Pasitny, (and her mother, Karen Esperson) who is at the centre of this fiasco fight over a flock of ostriches were arrested and released by RCMP yesterday for obstructing officials from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
Now, all B.C. Ostrich farmers are hoping for a miracle.

Holy Hell and Really? Who in the hell has heard of this shi? I have not extensively researched the above and also have not recently reviewed the remaining list of 197 disabilities, but I am aware that obtaining Social Security Disability is more often than not relatively easy.

We have HIGH rates of chronic diseases, obesity (it's an epidemic), and preventable deaths.
The US has the 18th highest obesity rate in the world at 42.7 %, and it varies significantly among states from 24.7% to 40.6%.
Our healthcare system is on a collision course with demographic trends and economic realities - it's underpinnings are creating unsustainable challenges. The workforce is the engine that drives the economy and helps support these underpinnings. When such a large percentage of the population has so many chronic comorbidities, how can it be a productive workforce?

My personal opinion is that health is a holistic
concept and is everybody's responsibility. The responsibilities start from an individual and extend up to the communities and governments as well. Certain aspects of health, including diet, fitness and personal hygiene have to be dealt with individually. Government and community can support them with the proper information and resources.
Individual self-responsibility and accountability is the idea that it is the moral duty, obligation, and a sense of personal liability of one to take the necessary actions to improve their health.

The jist of it: In Carlson's last Friday morning newsletter, Carlson wrote of Trump’s prior knowledge of the attack on Iran, “While the American military may not have physically perpetrated the assault, years of funding and sending weapons to Israel, which Donald Trump just bragged about on Truth Social, undeniably place the U.S. at the center of last night’s event.”

In another piece of commentary, Carlson explicitly stated his position, writing, “The United States should not at any level participate in a war with Iran. No funding, no American weapons, no troops on the ground.”
He continued, calling on the Trump administration to “drop Israel [and] let them fight their own wars… If Israel wants to wage this war, it has every right to do so. It is a sovereign country, and it can do as it pleases. But not with America’s backing.”

Upon hearing an officer order the guardsman to remove the flower, she caught the flower as it fell to the ground, stating, "Flowers are better than bullets." This quote was enscribed upon her gravestone.
Jeffrey Miller - He had been facing the Guardsmen while standing in an access road leading into the Prentice Hall parking lot from a distance of approximately 265 feet away when a single bullet entered his open mouth and exited at the base of his posterior skull, killing him instantly.
Sandra Scheuer - She was shot once in the neck with an M-1 rifle from a distance of 130 yards while walking between classes. The bullet severed her jugular vein and she died within five or six minutes from loss of blood.
William Schroeder - He was 382 feet from the National Guard at the time he was shot while lying on the ground facing away from the Guardsmen. The bullet entered his left chest at the seventh rib, piercing his left lung, and some fragments exited from the top of his left shoulder. He died almost an hour later while in a hospital undergoing surgery.

This is nothing but a FEAR FACTOR. This is nothing less than DISEASE MONGERING.
