When I say "true" church, I speak of that which is told of in Acts 11

https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/Acts-Chapter-11/

The first thing you should look for, does the church believe that the Word of God is the final authority? No true church would hold councils, or issue edicts, etc. to correct or change the Word of God. Period.

Secondly, is the church using the Divinely Inspired Word of God or one of the versions that man has altered? A brief quote from wiki defining this

In textual criticism of the New Testament, the Byzantine text-type (also called Majority Text, Traditional Text, Ecclesiastical Text, Constantinopolitan Text, Antiochian Text, or Syrian Text) is one of the main text types. It is the form found in the largest number of surviving manuscripts of the Greek New Testament. The New Testament text of the Eastern Orthodox Church, the Patriarchal Text, as well as those utilized in the lectionaries, are based on this text-type. Whilst varying in at least 1,830 places,[1] it also underlies the Textus Receptus Greek text used for most Reformation-era (Protestant) translations of the New Testament into vernacular languages.

Modern translations (since 1900) mainly use Eclectic editions that conform more often to the Alexandrian text-type.

The basic summary to this is that Bible versions faithfully translated from the "Textus Receptus" are true versions, while those taken from the Alexandrian texts, such as the "B" or "Aleph" are not (these are not original manuscripts, they were "recreated" by man and are believed to have originated in Italy.)

Feel free to use the above information to do your own study of the matter.

Thirdly, does the church deny the power of the Holy Spirit to provide believers with a version of the Bible that is without error and easily understood by those who seek the Truth?

Fourthly, does the church literally interpret the Word of God? This may surprise some but many, if not all, of the post 100AD early church "fathers" would interpret the scriptures metaphorically and, in doing so, introduced errors and false doctrines. (A great example of this is that not one of the Apostles, in all of the New Testament, prayed to Mary. Nor do they cite any of the apochypha writings, but do quote, over 200 times, from the original 39 books of the Old Testament. Things such as these were brought in afterwards, in error.)

Fifthly, does the church "rightly divide" the Word of God, into Dispensational Ages? To simplify this without going off into a major discourse, does the church still preach against the eating of bacon? Or that salvation requires works?

Sixthly, is the church evangelistic, as told in Acts chapters 1 and 13. 1:8But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Seventhly, do they properly define baptism? Acts 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. Again, dispensationalism.

There is more, much more, but this is a good start.

Ecumenism, movement or tendency toward worldwide Christian unity or cooperation. The term, of recent origin, emphasizes what is viewed as the universality of the Christian faith and unity among churches.

I've seen some that have taken this even farther, changing the word Christian into "religions," and opening the door to Hinduism, Buddhism, and many others.

Let us define Christianity.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Add to this^^ "repent of your sins and be washed clean in the Blood of Christ."

That's it. Anything more than this is false doctrine. God loves you more than you can even imagine. He does not place snares and stumbling blocks in your path, he removes them. He stands at the door and knocks, answer and He will sup with you. You do not have to do anything else but answer the door, regardless of what other men tell you.

Galatians 1:8 KJV But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Search Paul's teachings for yourself. Understand what salvation means for yourself. It's your eternal soul that is on the line here. Do you care enough about it to read a few chapters?

Here's what John said about it

2 John 1:10 KJV If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

Ecumenism. Receive whatever, no questions asked. I'm not preaching against saving souls. If ecumenism was even slightly about that, I would be one of their cheerleaders. Ecumenism has defined itself by taking on the spirit of the world and denying Jesus Christ while doing it. They force you to accept their pagan belief system. Ecumenism takes the doctrine of the Blood of Christ, throws it into a blender and mixes it up with all of the heresies of the world. And you are not allowed to question what has emerged. They do not seek the Truth.

Colossians 2:8 KJV Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Without Christ, the Great Awakening is nothing. With Christ, we can do all things. I write this OP to caution my brothers that not all things that say they are of Christ, are of Christ. We need to discern as much as ever before.

First of all, this is not about the "Great Reset," as spoken by this current generation of babylonian pagans. Why do I say this? Because I know, as sure as I know that the sun will set this evening, that the ones who push this "Great Reset" will NOT be taking a vow of poverty for themselves. This vow of poverty is only meant for us, their subjects. They desire nothing more than us giving up all of our money and possessions, so that they may take possession of them. I am not naïve of this.

The vow of poverty that I speak of is that which was taken by Christ and His Apostles. Again, do not misinterpret my intentions here. I am not advising anyone to give it all away. Not at all. In this current world that we live in, that would be suicide. Why? Because there is no one that would care for you (or very few anyway.) Anyone can visit a large city and see what I'm talking about. And what a testimony it is of our current government and it's claim to care for us, when they all live in gated communities (even churches!,) while the lost and homeless wander aimlessly among them.

Now imagine a world in which all believers of Jesus Christ, as Lord and Savior, took upon themselves this vow of poverty (take note here that I have omitted all of the schemers and lazy from this scenario because the schemers and the lazy are not believers in Christ. Yes, there would be wolves among us, but we would have to discern of them and remove them.) Would we then not have to rely on and care for each other? Some would have to provide food, some would have to provide fuel for the fires that warm us, some would have to tend to the sick and elderly. Would this not draw us closer to each other, knowing that we labor in love for each other, instead of for filthy lucre?

This is what the world babylonian system has taken away from us. This is what the LORD wanted for us. To love each other as I have loved you. Jesus came to serve us. The pagans have placed a value on what we should be doing for each other, in love for each other. And we chase after their pieces of silver, as though they mean everything, when they really mean NOTHING. Store your treasures up in the bank?

Again, I am not mandating that you do anything or condemning anyone for taking care of themselves or their own, in consideration of the world we live in. I'm just trying to get you to think of what God meant for us and what the world system has taken away from us.

In the early 1500's, plus or minus, the Puritans of England, developed a list of grievances against the Church of England, which was also the official state religion and mandatory for all English citizens. Among these grievances, that were spurred on by the Reformation, was the freedom of worship. In response to these grievances, the church changed it's name. The Puritans, not being fooled by the designs of the ruling authorities, sailed away to the New World. Is it safe to say that Great Things arose from this departure?

Our present day churches change their names and skins nearly every day, it seems like. And NOT to the Honor and Glory due to our Lord Jesus Christ. Is it not again time for us to take up the Spirit of the Puritans? And set aside the spirit of religion? How do we know what Great Things Christ has set before this generation if we don't sail away?

We are the Church, are we not?

I was granted permission to post this OP some time ago by the moderators of GA. At that time, I declined to post my response, mostly because I was led to believe, by the moderators of c/Christianity, that they would moderate their own behaviors. I gave them full opportunity to do this and they did not. I call on scripture

Matthew 7:20 KJV Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Since that time of my lying down with the Lion, I have been

Threatened with bodily harm, specifically the breaking out of all my teeth, by a moderator.

I have been "accursed" by this same moderator, using the Lord's name in vain "I'm sick of your &^%damned lies."

I have been, constantly and without respite, falsely accused. I've been called a liar, stupid, confused, among many other un Christian like deeds. And there is no relief or recourse to be had of this. Just this morning, a post correcting this mod over his explanation for the reason of using the atomic bomb on Japan, was deleted. This would be the final straw. Here is the link to the thread in question

https://communities.win/c/Christianity/p/141FAYi9YJ/thoughts-on-marin-scorseses-sile/c/4JKzpkKuUyr

And a link to the comment that was deleted (the second one in the list.)

https://communities.win/u/Andy_Man45/ (This link also serves as witness to my specific "behavior.")

I am not going to share my personal opinion of this particular moderator's intelligence or attitude, I leave that to those who employ him in his role. I'd like to also make note, that, for this entire time since my last call for correction, he has been completely and totally free to condemn me based on my beliefs while he falsely accuses me of condemning others when I only question their beliefs. This being another fruit that we can clearly see

Isiah 5:20 KJV Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

I'm done with it. Don't come at me with more hollow promises, u/SwampRangers. Remove the evil from your midst. If that should be found to be me, consider it already accomplished.
