Yes, Jeffrey Epstein did play an indirect but notable role in supporting Bitcoin’s ongoing development and stability during a critical period after its creation—specifically around 2015—through his donations to MIT’s Media Lab, which housed the Digital Currency Initiative (DCI). To clarify the timeline and facts: • Bitcoin was created in 2008–2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto, with no involvement from Epstein. • By 2014–2015, the Bitcoin Foundation (an early nonprofit supporting development) was facing severe funding issues and governance problems, putting full-time Bitcoin Core developer salaries at risk. • In 2015, Joi Ito (then-director of the MIT Media Lab) launched the MIT Digital Currency Initiative (DCI) to provide stable, neutral funding for long-term Bitcoin Core maintainers (e.g., developers like Gavin Andresen, Wladimir van der Laan, and Cory Fields joined MIT under DCI). • Epstein donated a total of about $850,000 to MIT between 2002 and 2017, with roughly $525,000 going to the Media Lab (post-2008 conviction donations). These were often routed anonymously or through foundations, and MIT later admitted to ethical failures in accepting/hiding them. • Recent document releases (e.g., from the U.S. House Oversight Committee, DOJ files in 2025) include emails showing Epstein communicated with Ito about the DCI. Ito thanked Epstein for “gift funds” used to “underwrite” the initiative quickly, enabling MIT to hire those developers during the Bitcoin Foundation’s collapse. Some reports describe this as Epstein helping “rescue” or “save” Bitcoin’s core development by providing indirect financial support at a fragile moment. • Epstein also met with figures in the crypto space (e.g., Brock Pierce, Larry Summers) and expressed interest in Bitcoin/crypto ideas, but there’s no evidence he directed code changes, influenced protocol decisions, or had control over Bitcoin. The funding was part of broader Media Lab donations, and DCI emphasized “no strings attached” support for open-source work. In essence: • Epstein’s money helped bridge a funding gap that could have slowed or jeopardized Bitcoin’s maintenance and survival as an open-source project. • This gave him proximity to the ecosystem via elite networks (MIT, Joi Ito), but it was not “close relationships with Bitcoin developers” in a personal/direct sense—more like tangential funding through an institution. • Many in the Bitcoin community view this as unfortunate/embarrassing but not as Epstein “controlling” or “creating” Bitcoin. The protocol remained decentralized, governed by miners, nodes, and contributors—not by MIT or any single funder. It’s fair to say his contributions aided Bitcoin’s survival and institutionalization in a key vulnerable phase, but “significant role” depends on perspective: it was meaningful financially at the time (helping sustain core devs), yet indirect, limited, and post-inception. No credible sources suggest he shaped Bitcoin’s design, direction, or long-term trajectory beyond that bridge funding.

East coast drone sightings, if you were going to bet a substantial amount, where would you lay your money down? Foreign, Domestic, Civilian, Military, or Extraterrestrial?

Here is my best guess

Manufactured on the east coast. Test flights scheduled for “summer 2025” Boeing subsidiary Aurora Flight Sciences X-65 Only artist recreations are available, no actual photos.

It’s a high possibility in my mind but if we want to entertain the UFO/ET possibility I would say its much less likely due to no physics breaking speed or maneuvering has been recorded of these sightings to my knowledge. I would go as far to say I would believe flying cars over ET when it comes to the East coast sightings, the tech for eVTOL has been emerging and well within reach for experimental flight companies. The fact that NONE have been intercepted should be a dead giveaway, that’s just how I see it though.
