I'm stating to think white hats are pushing for this impeachment trial. It gives Trumps people a public platform to lay out all of the election fraud evidence. The Dems couldn't be this stupid. If they stole this election, they can easily steal the next one. I can't think of another explanation for why they would try to impeach Trump at this point.
