It's not US Marshal Service but Capitol Police. But note that all officers are women. This is customary and often prescribed by law when a woman needs to be arrested or searched. There would not be a need for female police officers if it was only about protecting Nancy. by EuropeanRepublican

I have an alternative theory. What if the security is to protect her from the troops? Maybe she is paranoid the troops will arrest her in the coming days.
