I just want to add. It is long overdue that we stop deifying the council of Nicea. This topic is very much like the theory of evolution. Because whenever a physical law destroys the theory, you always have some appeal to that deeper, farther, weirder, math and science that one just has to have advanced degrees to dare comment about. But notice how lab proofs and analogies have to introduce vital elements that don't exist to contain earth? Water is not air, doesn't behave the same.

I used to hang my globe faith on satellite TV. Silly to think of now. But then again back then I thought satellites had to float around in a low earth orbit. Being held aloft by balloons, kind of takes the magic out of it, but it makes a lot more sense.

The point of my facetiousness is there is an endless string of observations that defy your spinning ball. Each one will have some unproved explanation that you just must accept. And when accepting bogus science, it's always more effective if you mock people who aren't accepting it. That's how it works.

But no, you can't be spinning at the speed you think you are and have smoke clouds lingering above an area for many days. 9/11 had a cloud for weeks. Wild fires too. I know, I'm just not recognizing how big earth is, how fluid dynamics don't apply because the atmosphere rotates so perfectly that it helps in the conspiracy to make earth seem to be actually stable.

The level and the plumb line do dispute the ball. Because you cannot scale those truths out to a ball.

Its hard to accept because those are such obvious problems for the globe it doesn't seem like anyone would have ever believed the globe theory.

I noticed you called the stars "fixed". They may appear fixed, but the common theory of outer space would require that nothing out there is "fixed". So with that truth, many more problems with the globe theory arise.

Now you have to start imagining that they do orbit earth and not just... they must orbit earth on an angle that is perfectly consistent with earth's arbitrary axial angle. pretty neat trick.

Well as a fellow Christian, lets put it this way. I never have to favor a scientific claim over the Word of God. If they are in opposition, I can trust God's Word and KNOW that the "science" is just "science so-called". Don't worry about translations and interpretations. I'm not declaring that every text claiming to be God's Word, necessarily is. We must test ALL things - including and especially the "science so-called" that is contrary to the Word.

You should read (first) Enoch and Jubilees, test those scriptures. And then decide whether you will continue to defend the spinning ball in your mind.

Enoch leaves no place for spinning ball theories. Once you KNOW, you'll start to understand how far down in a hole of deception you were placed by government education and a very long standing conspiracy.
