Johnson & Johnson burnished its image with a gutsy Tylenol recall in 1982. But its 2010 recall was long overdue, an FDA report charges.
Disclosure: I worked for J&J from 1992-1994, but for a subsidiary designing the HEMOPUMP; not the drug side. But I sure bought a lot with my employee discount. For years I was a Tylenol PM junkie just to get some sleep.

Kirk = Church Kirk a word meaning circle, in the sense of " assembly" or "company;" the original word being Saxon, and supposed by some to have come from the Greek κυριακόν, dominicum, " The Lord's house." The word Church is the same as " Kirk," and has the same signification as " congregation" or assembly, which are elsewhere given as translations of the original word ἐκκλησία. The established religion of Scotland (the Presbyterian) is usually called the Kirk of Scotland.

The frustrating part is the first link acknowledges that "Charlie" is not in the Bible, but when I search "Kirk" on this site, the search only brought up articles vs. the Biblical origin.

Ironically, Merriam-Websters definition only uses the name "Charlie" as defined in 1946 tab at top Word History). When searched the synonyms show first; Fool, Idiot, Moron.
