yeh perhaps, but if they do that in costuming for a movie or this Biden show, their head would have to widen significantly to accommodate. the Biden we see has a narrow ish head like Carrey has. I have seen makeup/masks and they apparently can blend this mask material to one's skin in all sorts of spots and you'd never know any better. technology from CGI to makeup is so insane these days that it blows the mind

I am looking into the space between a resting upper lip and bottom of the nose and it's not clear. in the profile pictures of this post Carrey has large smile as he often does in pictures even when he doesn't appear to be smiling it seems he raises his cheekbones. and when Biden puts on a big grin this space reduces significantly. it's a valid consideration but after a little while now of research I'm not deterred and or further convinced of my theory.

if you watch this video and jump to the 4:30 mark to watch for a bit you can see how Carrey contorts his face such that this space is there and he doesn't raise he cheekbones like he normally would which mouth position is markedly different than Joe
