So, as of Friday my work has made it so those who are vaccinated can remove their masks. Now me, who is not getting vaccinated, plans to go against the rules and tell them that I got my vaccine. They are requiring us to bring in proof of vaccination to prove that we are able to remove masks. Now, if I decide to refuse them the proof and they fire me for it, would I be in the right to sue them? I just would like to know if I have a case because I am doing research on HIPAA rules and it seems a bit unclear to me. The website says that work places can get information on your health but I think it's for insurance purposes. Unsure if this would be covered in that as well. If any of you bright minds can help me it would be greatly appreciated. Also, the most absurd part of it is that I live in South Dakota and we don't even have a mask mandate, but the company headquarters are in a different state so they have liberally minded HR cucks making the rules for the whole company.
