A very, very sad day for America.
Newt Gingrich quoted as saying:
"the public employee unions have done absurdly well, not going to work while collecting full paychecks …"
This includes the teachers that would rather stay home and keep the schools closed while continuing to collect their pay.
But we hear very little about THIS.
There are so many more public servant positions that are just staying home and encouraging the country to stay closed. Why wouldn't they? It's just a paid vacation time for them.
But yet, they say more unemployment assistance would just encourage to stay home. People on unemployment have to jump through the hoops!
The public servants DON'T. They just continue to get paid.
I appreciate that Newt Gingrich has brought this to the attention of the people on ? News.
