Family reunion this weekend & was setting at the ‘elder table” - I was the youngest at the table - they were all talking about their issues with the COVID Vaccine (several high blood sugar, heart issues, a few with cancer) - all lived in remote, small (Texas) towns - me, being unvaxed, I explained that I had looked at the CDC data and the numbers didn’t add up.

I asked why did they get vaxxed, given their relative remoteness / isolation?

The answer, consistently was so that their kids would allow them to see their grandkids - essentially, their kids blackmailed them to get vaxxed.

I pressed a bit more & asked if they had “connnected the dots” with their kids, their health, and the impact of their blackmail… the answer was no & either “I don’t want them to play that card again” or “I don’t want to put that on them”

Very sad conversation - I expect this is not uncommon.

Dr: "I've seen 100's of people die due to COVID - your medical conditions indicate that you...."

Me: "I have an Identical Twin brother who took the Covid Vaccine and his life expectancy has lessened as a result (true story), absent any additional information, the COVID vaccine is a 'bad bet' for me."

Dr: "Have you taken the Flu Vaccine? - you should consider doing so, considering...."

Me: "Why? Last year, according to the CDC, there were no Flu deaths, why would I take a vaccine for something that led to zero deaths last year?"
