I don't recommend reading the bible if you do not believe in God as it will only serve to confuse you plus you already have preconceived beliefs about God and the bible which will only cause you to be more confused. It isn't about being a "correct" one. I don't like that language and it only serves to distort the validity of it. I read the KJV as the making of it isn't tarnished as the more recent ones throughout history. The devil always seeks to destroy God's Word but He promises to preserve it.
