I quit Facebook in January.

Every couple weeks or so I can't post for a few days because they're still flagging shit I posted months ago.

I still use that scene in the mold episode where Arthur debates Spence to see if he has cognitive deficiencies from exposure to demonstrate how Liberals debate a topic.

Reminds me of that George Carlin game show skit "Asshole , jerkoff, scumbag"

I put up a post the other day about watching Beavis and butthead reruns to clear my head lately. The episodes feature many less known videos from the 70s and 80s, like videos for songs you know that you probably didn't know their was a video for.

A lot of bands use black and white checkerboard designs on the walls and the floor. The video for Debbie Harry Let's get Physical seemed really dark knowing what I know now. Fiona Apple Criminal looked like a child trafficking situation with a half eaten pizza on the glass coffee table. There's other things too lots of symbolism right out in the open in those older videos I just didn't know what I was looking at back then. But it all stands out now.

I've been watching old Beavis and Butthead episodes a lot lately. For exactly the reason that you mentioned.

And, if you want to follow my advice, please pick the episodes that include the videos. The shows feel gutted without them and they are a trove of rare videos from back when everything wasn't prepackaged formulaic garbage. I forgot how experimental music videos used to be. Oh, and there's shitloads of "symbolism" that stands out more in those videos knowing what i know now.

I still say the word "derrison" when I'm talking to my wife and I totally flub what I'm saying like that reporter talking gibberish did that one time. Those reporters talking gibberish disappeared from the news faster than those self accelerating cars, didn't they?
