I refuse to give Twitter my details so I can have a logon. I find lots of good stuff on Twitter and I would like to not have to give Twitter any traffic by posting here. But the nitter install instructions are completely unintelligible - plus I'm really suspicious of anything that tells me I have to install a program called libsass (Lib's ass?). Can anyone suggest where I can find anything understandable enough for a fairly competent PC user to install Nitter. These are the only real instructions I've found https://github.com/zedeus/nitter. I know this is not a tech help site - but we all have very similar views on avoiding Big Social intrusion - I figure there must be someone using Nitter who found a way. Thanks anyway if not.
Trevor Mallard is the Speaker of the House in NZ Parliament. Well he's ordered that the sprinklers are turned on in the Parliament grounds and will remain on throughout the night until the protesters leave. Firstly, it's raining in Wellington now. Secondly, Wellingtonians have been under major water restrictions for the past month as it has been a long dry spell - but well "rules for thee, but not for me" I guess. He is very much one of the most hated people in government right now, but this plumbs new lows of petty vindictiveness - even for the old skanky duck. He was out yesterday on the Parliament balcony with a cuppa enjoying watching the dirty cops stick the boot in. I guess it's nice for the rest of the country to see the reality of their future play out in front of them. I've been wondering for a while that we have lost the country, at least now I don't have to waste anytime wondering any more - it's here.
Right now it's 10.15am local time in Wellington, a massive police presence has turned up to move on the Convoy heroes from Parliament grounds where they were camping. The protesters have linked arms and started singing the National anthem and Maori hymns. The speaker of the House wants the police to remove them. Just stood by the side of road to wave them past, I missed the first half hour of them, but 90 minutes after I got there I was still cheering them past. They were interspersed with usual morning traffic into the capital, so far from every vehicle was in the convoy, but for such a small country as ours - I've never seen anything like it. A lot of trucks, but far more mums with kids (if anything this gives me the most hope - once the mama bears get on board NCSWIC). People of all ages and so many of our beautiful Maori brothers and sisters. Several of the big rigs even were sporting huge Canadian flags. I tried to take pictures/videos, but I learned I'm a complete idiot and had my fingers all over the camera - so nothing I can use - sorry☹. The streets in our capital Wellington are very narrow with lots of one way streets, if only 1/3 of the convoy I saw stop in the city - nothing will ever move. Today has given me hope, but I still fear we are destined to be the prepared bolt-hole for the NWO when the rest of world rises up against them.
Ramping up the psychological abuse, believing that some masks are more equal than others - drivelling idiot PM Jacinda Ardern has just ordered the all NZers can no longer wear bandanas, scarves, snoods etc - "Ze people must vear ze proper blue slave masks, follow ze science eet is vor your safety".
Yes people are actually wondering why she has started using a German accent and has started growing a little black mustache.
Get your tickets, you don't get many opportunities to watch a small country go up in smoke like this.
