SCENE OPEN at Pfizer headquarters executive boardroom. The CEO sits alone in the conference room looking at his laptop computer camera with everyone else looking back via Zoom conferencing.
Pfizer CEO: Damn, the sheep aren't going for the next COVID booster. What do we do????
Pfizer Marketing: Tell them we are destroying the vials. Build sympathy with the gullible ones who will think we care about them and are disposing of unneeded medicine.
Pfizer Customer Service: But what about the vax symptoms? There are ugly boils on people's skin as a direct, confirmed side-effect of our Pfizer covid-19 vaccine. Not to mention the tens of thousands of young people who are dropping dead. Plus we have the whole Justin Bieber thing now. We will be sued for billions.
Pfizer Sales: Who cares about all that?!?! What we need to worry about is all the lost $$$ from the vials no one wants. The sheep must be jabbed every 3 months or I miss my bonus!
Pfizer Marketing: No problem, we will say a new DEADLY VIRUS has just emerged. POOF. It is called Monkeypox. Ugly boils are a symptom. We just gotta re-label our not-thrown-away covid boosters and call them a new monkeypox vaccine...same shot / different name / still mRNA / still deadly
Pfizer CEO: Genius. I'll call Justin Castreau and order him to make the shot mandatory. He gets a piece of every jab because his family owns part of the patents so he will do what I say. Plus he is a total pussy.
Pfizer all: bwahahahahahahahahaha

Politicians are, from time to time, still troubled by irresponsible journalists and authors – just as journalists and authors, from time to time, are still troubled by irresponsible politicians. But it is a tragic fact that there are few groups where the problems of the politician are given as little genuine comprehension as they are among the writers, who seem to possess that talent for finding the right and wrong on all questions with none of the difficulties that face the politician. ... Certainly I do not seek any cessation of the writer's critical faculties in their application to my profession. For it is one of the hallmarks of the totalitarian when criticism is directed only against the enemies of the state, rather than against the state itself. ... And in few other professions but politics is it expected that a man will sacrifice honors, prestige and his chosen career on a single issue. I do not say that authors, teachers and others do not face difficult decisions involving their integrity- but few face them as does the politician in the spotlight of publicity. And few bear the continual weight of temptations and pressures to take the primrose path of never-ending compromise. Torn between his obligations to his constituency, his concern for the welfare of his family, his gratitude to his supporters, his loyalty to his party, his personal ambitions, his sense of public duty, and his awareness that right and wrong on most issues are almost inextricably mixed, the politician stumbles along, seeking shelter from the slings and arrows of his critics- most of them interested, only a few disinterested.
If the thugs in DC like the Capitol Police enter Virginia, can they be arrested as belligerent occupiers of DC? Can they be taken off the field and kept in military prison until the end of the occupation of DC?
DC is not technically a state, or US territory. Consider that DC is currently occupied by a belligerent force. Keep in mind that there are already several dozen American prisoners of war that are rotting in the DC jail without any Constitutional rights being applied; with no charges, no speedy trial, no basic human rights.
WIth that in mind, wouldn't it be better for the truckers to stop just before the line that separates the US states from DC? They would still be blocking the roads. The press and cell phone cameras would still record the protest and share it globally. The effect of the demonstration would be basically the same as one done inside the District.
However, US laws would apply to the protestors in US territory. The Virginia Governor has already shown to be reasonable.
I just don't see the protest being any more impactful inside DC than at the borders of the District.

Breaking News: Justin Castreau is now threatening to freeze the bank accounts of every legislator who signed this resolution. Baby Fidel said in a statement "this fringe minority of elected representatives will not be permitted to voice their opinions. I want their bank accounts frozen, I want their electric cars shut down, I want their children masked, and I want their neighbors sent to a wellness camp."
Later, it was revealed that the pen-maker who provided pens to sign the resolution is also being targeted by Justin from Canada for allowing their ink filled writing devices to be used in an obvious criminal undertaking.
Echoing these remarks Chrystia Freeland came to the mike, shook for several minutes from her 4 vaccines, and then fell over like Heather MacDonald doing stand-up.
