Aaron Russo was a very nice man. I had spoken to him on the phone years ago when he hired me to create a logo for his presidential run. His concept was that he wanted it to look like a blueprint for a new path for the country, returning it back to its constitutional roots.
At the time, I just wanted to create a nice piece for him. I wasn't as knowledgeable then as I am now.

He was recommended to me by a mutual friend/co-worker. This would have been around 97 or 98. I left that job in 99.
I never met him in person. But again, very nice on the phone. He was trying to explain stuff to me in such a way that I could tell he didn't want to scare me off. I now understand what that's like trying to explain stuff to my friends and family.
Too many people don't know who he was.
