Below is an wedding update email; guess I've got to find something else to do that day haha
Dear Family and Friends, We are looking forward to celebrating with you at our wedding on October 9th at xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. Given the recent dramatic increase in COVID cases and hospitalizations in North Carolina, which are expected to continue to worsen between now and the time of the wedding, we wanted to share important safety protocols we will be following during the event. You and our wedding vendors’ health and safety are our #1 priority. If you are unable to follow these protocols, which were created with CDC guidelines and local and state ordinances at the forefront of our minds, we respectfully ask that you do not attend. Please take the time to read this email carefully and reach out to us with any questions.
Vaccination: For the health and safety of everyone attending, we are requiring that all guests and members of the wedding party be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. We will be requiring everyone attending the event to provide proof of COVID vaccination status. You can email a copy of your vaccination card to xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. If you are currently unvaccinated and do not have plans to be fully vaccinated (2 weeks past your second shot of Pfizer or Moderna, or 2 weeks past the single shot Johnson & Johnson) by the time of the wedding, we respectfully ask that you do not attend in person with us. This was a very difficult decision to make but the best way for us to keep everyone in attendance as safe as possible.
Venue: Our wedding ceremony and reception will both take place in an outdoor/open air area of Belt Line Station.
Masks: We are requiring mask use for guests when they are not eating or drinking. All of our on-site wedding vendors will be wearing masks as well. Masks will be provided.
Hand Sanitizer: We will provide hand sanitizer to each guest and offer sanitizing stations in several areas of the venue. Please practice good hand hygiene after touching surfaces and feel free to bring your own hand sanitizer if desired.
We know this is a lot of information to digest, and we appreciate you taking the time to read through this note. Although our wedding may not look like others you’ve attended in the past, we still hope that it will be a joyous and celebratory event. Please feel free to reach out to us via email at xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx with any questions. Thank you in advance for your cooperation, and we look forward to seeing you (masked up!) on October 9th.
Please RSVP: XXXXX
Love, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Everyone I know who has placed an exemption, religious especially, have thus far been denied. And it’s taking them 16 days to get back to people. Neighboring devils have responded to staff exemption requests within a few days. Prayers for me and my coworkers much appreciated!! 🙏🏻💗🙏🏻
I (currently) work for a large state funded hospital in NC which is VERY liberal. They’ve pushed all kinds of biased opinions and propaganda down our throats for the past yr+. There are some based people I work c but if there are more, we keep to ourselves whereas the libtards are the loud, perturbed and disgruntled vocal majority making me feel like the lone minority. I fear they will mandate the vax soon...I know it’s illegal but hearing how hospitals in TX and now MUSC where a former colleague of mine now works, I fear it will happen sooner than later at my hospital.
So, anyone know any lawyers in NC (or SC for that matter for my former colleague) who are based and willing to fight these ridickulous mandates?? Trying to get prepared bc I’d rather die than get that s**t shot into my body.
