Pointing the above out to Christians who are "Israel First" angers them because they've been raised on dispensationalism. If dispensationalism is taken away, where does their faith have to go?
There is an extremely good interperpretation of Revelation that doesn't lead to an "Israel First" political stance.
The idealist interpretation of Revelation is a historic interperpretation of the book. The ideal interperpretation is also known as the spiritual interpretation.
Many dispensationalists are taught that you must not spiritualize the Bible. They are taught that spiritual things are not real things. By diminishing the spiritual application of the book of Revelation, they leave it to be a book about physical things. That is "taking away from the book" and "adding to the book"(Rev 22:18-19)
The futurist interperpretation of Revelation is heresy. In order to combat the heresy of futurism in Revelation, some principles have become appearant through the Idealist interpretation.

The doctrines of futurism in Revelation is strongly perpetuated by the most respected teachers in Evangelical circles. Tearing away the heresy is not easy. "Israel first" will not change in American Christianity if the doctrine of futurism is not cast down in the Christian mind. The idealist interpretation of Revelation soundly casts down the futurist interperpretation of Revelation.
The Christian learns to follow Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit working in them. The PSYOP of "Israel First" can be removed from the Christian mind only by following the the life and reign of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is King. Ascend.

Revelation 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
All the good promises of Revelation are to the overcomer. The new creation is to the overcomer, reigning in life with Jesus Christ is to the overcomer, the new heaven and earth is to the overcomer.
v21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
All things, archetype every good thing of God is to the overcomer, not in physical time, but in present moment time.
The second death is suffered for not overcoming also not in physical time but in present moment time.

These are two realms. The perfect city of God is one realm, and Babylon is one realm, both realms are experienced as present time reality.

The realm of the overcomer is the realm of the 144,000. We see them again in Revelation 15:2 "them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass".
The realm of Babylon is suffering fire and brimstone.
Revelation 14:9 If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
Both realms are in operation right now, those without the city go through the second death, those that overcome inherit all good thing in Jesus Christ.
The patience of the saints is that we go through the fire with the world, but we have the benefit of the perfect city, the perfect realm.
Where we go one, we go all.

I read Revelation as a real time spiritual drama.
Jesus Christ is conquering in our lives, Jesus Christ is making us conquerors with Him.
We defeat Babylon in our own lives.

We are seeing a real time judgment of Babylon in the physical world.
This is exciting, it goes along with Romans 8 as well where the whole creation is delivered from the bondage of corruption.
