The plane that's been running only under X is on an interesting path today -- it's been zigzagging the US the past week. Yesterday it went from near Abilene (where Nightwatch left today) and was in Norfolk overnight.
Just saw that one, been looking at this one too: https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=ae206d
Another SAM on a plane used by higher ups & the DoD.
I've got 25 right now. A half an hour ago it was down to three.
It is common to see Sentrys up in the air? There's one up around Roswell right now... https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=ae11e4
UPDATE: There's a second one near Abeline now too... https://globe.adsbexchange.com/?icao=ae11ee
POTUS related?
Pair of refueling tankers have been circling off the coast of Long Island for a while this morning, but nothing showing up near them.
PACK81 & PACK82
Ok. Thanks for the info. I’ll try to restrain myself going forward with these!
For today - they do this sort of thing all the time
it's 1900 hours in UTC
OK, just looked very wonky and then landed at a small municipal airport.
No, that's what I thought, but it's outside DFW
OK, wasn't sure, which is why I looked a little and saw that where it landed doesn't seem to be a usual spot for military craft to land.
I might just need to stop looking at this stuff and leave it to the experts.
c-32 is a high official craft https://www.af.mil/About-Us/Fact-Sheets/Display/Article/104518/c-32/
Looks like it landed at Majors airport (a small city-owned airport?)
Yeah, I veered way out of my lane with this one. thanks!
Gotcha...thanks!
Must be. I was informed this is the regular Gitmo flight and told to stay in my lane!
Roger that!
Relevant Q post?
I'm interested in GTMO844 that just left Miami... Gitmo, really?
NEVERMIND: was informed this is a weekly flight. Sorry
Not to hijack here, but the flight I saw, X, took off again from Pope, the circling c130 went back to Wilmington NC, and in the past few minutes, two c-130s, including X, and a Black Hawk all took off from there...
the USAF 18th Air Support Operations Group, 427th Special Operations Squadron, 21st Special Tactics Squadron, 24th Special Tactics Squadron, and Air Force Combat Control School operate from Pope Field.
That's a lot of SpecOps in one place
Far from a plane guy, but I posted earlier about a flight that caught my eye: https://greatawakening.win/p/11Rhhh7cPv/
The comments there have some updates, and it looks like that flight is back in the air after about a half hour stop and is headed SW right now.
It's crazy too, I kept looking and the OTIS48 flight there was circling the Pope Airfield and as soon as X landed, it turned south. Checked that path and it left Wilmington (NC) International and just landed back there... just flew up to circle over Ft. Bragg and went right back as soon as X hit the ground?
Got my curiosity up -- you know what they say about coincidences...
I tried refreshing and it's gone now, so must have landed. What's unusual (at least to me) was that the N3271X flight is still circling, and as soon as X seemed to land, OTIS48 stopped circling and headed south -- just about to fly over Wilmington NC.
I'm new to the plane tracking (a few days) so didn't know if this was out of the ordinary or not.
maybe for N3271X, but X left from outside DC and it looks like it is currently landing
On the move again -- heading south.
