If you support the 2nd Amendment like you say we should, you support being able to walk into a post office with a gun.
I'm getting downvoted like crazy from people who don't understand what their position logically entails.
I'm not saying that it's not against the law to walk into a post office with a gun. I'm asking a fucking question about what OUGHT to be the case; not about what IS the case.
Why does he need a "purpose" to exercise his 2nd Amendment right? DC is not 2nd Amendment friendly, but it seems like most people here are also not 2nd Amendment friendly.
You all literally believe that the government ought to be able to have the sole authority to tell you when your 2nd Amendment right applies and when it doesn't. I know you don't think you believe that, but it's exactly the logical entailment of your position as well as everyone else on this site who is saying that the staffer shouldn't have been allowed to carry.
Staffer exercises their 2nd Amendment right
VA here. Been all around the beautiful commonwealth in the last couple months. We don't get talked about nearly as much as we ought to for being a swing state. If you watched the 2020 election, guess who was leading VA until 3am by a large margin.
Where does the 2nd Amendment require someone to show that they meet an arbitrary standard of "need" when exercising their right to bear arms?
