I've lurked in both Conservative, Liberal, and GAW. Today I saw this and realized this is what they all have in common, passion turned to rage.

Take My Energy Rage Addiction is Real I'm sure a ton of people are still wringing their hands going "Why?? Why would they want this? How does this happen?" And I fully admit that not everybody in the Q camp is going to be this way, but I think most of them are. If you're not an angry person, I can understand how this would all seem so toxic and baffling to you. But let me tell you, rage is a hell of a drug. I grew up in shitty circumstances. Not the worst, but I can safely apply the Bad Childhood label and not feel bad about it. As I got older, I noticed I was fantasizing about having fights on the subway with random strangers who would attack me out of nowhere. I would often snap at friends. Then the internet and all its glorious comment sections were born. And roasting people became my opium. Fuckin stupid anti-vaxxers. Fuckin stupid racists. Burn in hell, fuckers. You're all stupid and useless and should be shot into the sun. It felt so GOOD. I've been banned from so many platforms. I STILL do it sometimes. Why? It's rotten to act this way, right? Shouldn't it make me feel bad? Yes. And it does, and it doesn't. Bouts of screaming anger reward you with a dopamine hit, the same way you would get dopamine from a jog or a hug from your kid. Them chemicals are TASTY, Y'ALL, and few can resist them. It's even harder to resist when you combine it with a worldview of Us vs. Them. You're on a Righteous Crusade! You're fighting for Good! You're a Warrior! Nah. You're a sad, stunted person with deep insecurity and hurt. Anger is a secondary emotion. The primary emotion that it covers is hurt. These people are hurt. And a lot of them have legitimate fucking grievances: underemployment, poverty, no health insurance, their kids succumb to opiate addiction, etc. They have a lot of reasons to be hurt. They're just blaming the wrong people.
