For the last few months we have been receiving items we never ordered and we never paid for along with the item/items we DID order. I stopped calling because they just say to keep it.
Yesterday, my order for a baking thermometer for my bread came along with a HUGE bag of something called Krach lemonade powder. I wouldn't order something like that nor would I drink it. 17% sodium in it.
Hubby works in receiving at Home Depot and he came up with an explanation. He thinks that the things we receive and didn't order are coming from overstock they cannot get rid of. He said he could see a manager telling the shippers to throw a package in orders just to get rid of the items.

Just for giggles; a few years ago we got a slip in our mailbox that there was a delivery too big and we needed to pick it up. I had no idea what it could be. When I got to the post office there was a HUGE commercial sink delivered to me. Of course, I refused delivery and they sent it back. Once again, I had never been charged for the huge sink. 🤣

When I read that Menendez resigned today, as of 8/20, I decided to do some research. This is what I found.
I counted all the Senators at https://www.senate.gov/senators and found that the Dems have 47 Senators. Rep have 49 Senators and Independents have 4.
So my question is this...If we have more than the Dems why is Schumer the majority leader?
The answer in my conspiracy mind is that the Dems don't give two hoots about the law and the rules and know that until they are out of office they can do whatever they want to do.

We used to get catalogs and ads from various outlets which we had purchased from in the past. But no longer. I don't know if they have gone out of business but we no longer hear from them.
But for the last year EVERY SINGLE THING WE GET IN THE MAIL IS A BEGGING FOR MONEY. Every Conservative in Congress writes us. The RNC writes us. Every organization we contributed to sends us begging for donations. It is now non stop. AND EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM IS RECYCLED!
I know they probably need money, but we are on a fixed income and the begging for money gets them nowhere in this house. We have actually had to send some charity requests back to the sender demanding our name be taken off their list.

There is no doubt that these podcasters are being paid HUGE $$$ to sell their products to those who are stupid enough to invest. I was a certified broker for many years and I can tell you from my own experience these products are iffy at best. Why are these podcasters taking the huge chance of ruining their reputations by doing what they are doing? Please be aware of all the GOLD ads that are now being pushed onto those who are unaware of the $$$ they are forced to invest "just because"!

I have watched On the Fringe for a few years now and always enjoyed his shows until he started ads for Goldco. I told hubby if I hear drslikesgold.com one more time I am going to break something.
Last night his ad for Goldco was 9 minutes long and I posted a comment about it. I told him his listeners do not have $50,000 to invest in gold and if he needs money I know many of us would be happy to pay for a show without ads just like I pay X22.
It was a long post and I saw that I was not the only one complaining about the damn ads. I am sure he gets paid a lot of money as long as he says the website a minimum of 5 times. I have been watching it carefully and noted he always says the website 5 times.
I unfollowed him last night, but just for $hits and giggles I checked his Rumble account and he has no show for tonight. This is a first for him to not have a weeknight show. Sometimes he skips a Saturday show, but never mid-week show.
Then I started reading the comments from yesterday and was amazed at how many have reached the end with his show because of the Goldco ads. I also realized that my post and 20-30 other posts had been removed.
And one of the posts stated that he had been blocked for complaining about the long ads for Goldco.
It is a shame when a great podcast/podcaster puts $$$$ over his viewers. I was interested in one of his ads about a supplement until I checked it out and it was a pyramid scheme.
Hubby stated tonight that the long commercials (he has at least 3 a show) means he does not need to come up with as much news as he had before. His shows used to be just about an hour long and now they run an hour plus 20 more minutes due to the ads he does.

I told hubby tonight that I am at the point of not caring about anything I read or hear anymore because I can no longer believe a damn word. And I have experienced more fatigue over the last few weeks than ever before.

Tonight hubby and I were listening to some of our favorite podcasts and something hit me right in the middle of my forehead.
I told him "Honey, do you realize that at our age, both 79, we are healthier than many others at our age?" He agreed.
And then I told him "You do realize that if there had NOT been the PLANDEMIC, I would not have done as much research as I did and we would NOT have started taking the great supplements we started taking 3 years ago and we would NOT be as healthy as we are today?" So it could be that the plandemic actually has made us much healthier!
