What i know of dreaming is that "your" ego is gone.I personally experienced my consciousness connected with all my friends at the same time(hard to explain but it happened and felt natural and not overwelming .It happened just before getting asleep.Was 7 years ago never happened again .So my viewpunt as you said it ,also evolved.(could not say it better myself). And something weird happened just after my mother died.Could not find something(important paper needed for burial).My mother guided my to the right room the right cabinet and the right drawer.Also happened one time.(did realy not know where my mother kept her stuf).Dont usually talk about this. Will keep reading your post's and comment's (is alot of wisdom in it).Did try meditation only keep seeing flashing of images and pretty colours.Only happens when the inner dialoge stops. Same what happens before you go to sleep,think sleeping is a kind of meditation.Remembering a dream is alot harder(only happens when you wake up at the right time).Have a nice day.
Gas lighting. I am using a camping gas light for reading at night not only it produces a very bright white light it also produces heat. Is like a sun and also helpes for winterdepression.( pesonal experience). They are sold at camping places but you can also find some that can operate from natural gas. Hope such a lamp can give you some relief.
"I am not sure what the literal Bible says about heaven and hell, but there has to be some motive for people to not do things that allow evil entities to gain control" I am getting bad dreams. Remember only parts of the dream but feels like my deceased father is telling me to NOT do "that" again. Do not know if it is my own conscience is making it up.Or my own father "speaking to me".Dreams are weird. But i am afraid enough to not do that again.
