If you have been following the news from Myanmar, just remember that could have been the US.

Everyday we get news that the military in Myanmar killed X number of people and violated human rights (Link: 1) . The world condemns the Myanmar's military's actions (Link: 2), and of course the normal reaction would be to condemn the killing of civilians.

The legitimacy of the election is no longer the concern once people are on the streets protesting. People react first before they think. Once the narrative is set, it would be hard to reverse it. You'd have riots and economic shutdown, again after COVID, think what that would do to the US.

If the Military took the power directly, there would have been violent protests. Any action taken to control the protest could have resulted in many deaths and injuries., civil war and chaos that ultimately doesn't benefit the people.

Just a perspective from an outsider.

I may be on hopium overdose and because of that I've started to see reality differently lol.

At first, I couldn't understand as to why would Trump let Biden in to destory his legacy. Trump's "will be back" in speeches today as well as Melania's very short farewell message given that she was leaving as the First Lady makes me think there is something that we are not aware of yet. Hopefully time will tell. I don't think Trump and his team is letting such a critical opportunity go so easily. There is no next time and no 2024 as the systems of control will be made much more robust to prevent an outsider gaining power ever again.

I was watching the live coverage for a while, I heard the news anchor mention the shooting of one of the protestors. But only today, after 24 hours, the death count seems to have risen and apparently a police officer was killed.

I am not saying that it could not have happened, I am just wondering if they have somehow managed find ways to add fuel to the fire.

Its not a question about if Trump will take action, but it is about when. Trump in no way is going to lose this election. If he does, Democrats will put him in jail for sure by making up false charges like they did with Roger Stone. If not him, it will be Giuliani, people in his administration and his family. Democrats and Trump have knowledge of things that the public doesn't know. The Four Seasons Landscaping was something that Democrats probably knew and Trump sent them a message. Trump knows a lot more than we have learnt from Q. They will want to keep his mouth shut.

He knows he’s not getting re-elected in 2024 again because Democrats are not going to allow that to happen.

Which is why losing is not an option. He must win for his family and for his own safety.

Trump has said it himself that they’d come after him if he lost the election. Which is why I’m sure he has kept some of his Trump cards (declassified material and more) with him still. Even if he doesn’t win the election, he’s not going to let them win.
