My spider senses are tingling. I have been noticing more non-tramatic deaths ocurring throughout my region. There have been people found deceased with no known health issues. Several unexplained vehicle accidents with drivers found dead with no injury. Several reports of bodies found in yards and homes by reletives or friends. I have not documented the instances, because I am just now starting to become aware of the phenomenon. Only deaths that involve police assistance are reported. There may be many more un-reported. These were not elder people with morbidities.

So many historical documents that mirror the present world circumstances. I can easily get absorbed studying historical documents, both near present or ancient and suddenly feel that I am reading today's newspaper. Many quotes, essays and editorials from the past that are relevant in the contemporary world. If we fail our commission to activate the latent parietal cortex and clear the clouded perception of humanity, then a history book will foretell our future.

Nostalgia is settling in. As memorial day approaches, I begin to reminisce concerning the lives lived by my progenitors and ancestors. Many were veterans as are two of my five siblings and two grandsons. My fathers service started in N. Africa and ended in Germany. He would never speak about the battles, but he would wake up suddenly from a nap in the recliner and be speaking French, German and occasionally Russian. He ( Sgt.) admitted to me once that the worst part of service was writing letters to families that had lost a member in battle. I will be visiting two patriarchal family memorials this coming week. One is my Great Grandfathers with his progeny and families. This is where I will be interred. One of his brothers and family are also resting here. Many veterans and one cousin who was a pilot in Viet Nam and spent time as a POW. The second memorial holds my great grandparents, great aunts and uncles families and cousins. My great great grandfather (grandmother died young in another state) is also here with a brother, sister and families. The women in the family have maintained documentation and oral history. I have pictures of all my great grandparents and a picture of my patriarchal great great grandfather. He had one brother that died in the war of northern aggression at the age of sixteen. No out of state memorial visits will be made this year, but interestingly I have two ancestral uncles in Georgia that served in the North Carolina Militia during the war for independence. Names are on a memorial obelisk. It is consoling having four hundred years of witnessed history with tales and stories. Keep it going and hand it down,

This historical documentation is important, published or personal. I would hope that some would begin to document their life for posterity even if today's date is the first entry. No ones existence is unimportant or mundane.
